Get an erection by wearing this condom
New condom to boost your erection
Things are pointing up -- ahem -- for the CSD500, the so-called "Viagra condom" from British pharmaceutical company Futura Medical, and for Reckitt Benckiser PLC (the makers of Durex-branded condoms have exclusive gobal rights to bring the CSD500 to market) after the condom was recommended for Conformité Européenne (CE) mark approval today in the European Union. CE marking is a mandatory step before the condoms can be placed on the market in the 29 countries known as the European Economic Area.
Futura Medical specializes in transdermal delivery of active ingredients within the fields of sexual health and pain relief and has been working since 2008 to seek approval to bring the CSD500 to market. Because of the product's pharmaceutical properties it must be approved as a "Class III medical device with an ancillary medicinal substance."
The condom contains a medicated gel substance in its tip that has been demonstrated to dilate the arteries and increase blood flow to the penis, resulting in "the maintenance of a firmer erection in healthy men during intercourse whilst wearing a condom, increased penile size and a longer lasting sexual experience for women," according to a 2008 study.
