"The number of men hoping to improve their sexual performance by taking medicine has more than doubled in Belgium in recent years, VRT news reported Wednesday.

Some 4 million tablets, designed to help men either get or maintain an erection, have been sold in Belgium this year, VRT quoted a study by the Institute for Medical Statistics as showing.

The Association of Pharmacists believes that the big increase is due to growing confidence in so-called 'erection pills' among the country's males.

Those who are in their forties are the biggest buyers of pills such as Viagra, the market leader in Belgium. However, an increasing number of younger men are also reaching for the pill box to ensure success between the sheets, the study shows."
